DARIA BUKHMAN SOPRANO
Daria Bukhman is a Russian-Canadian mezzo-soprano. She was graduated from Saratov State University as a Teacher of Music and History of Arts and also completed three-year course as an Opera Singer at Saratov State Sobinov Conservatory. At the beginning of her singing career, Mrs. Bukhman worked as a Choir Soloist at Saratov State Operetta Theatre, where she has sung numerous Operetta roles. As a student of the Conservatory, Daria Bukhman performed in many recitals and participated in the Program productions, such as "Eugene Onegin" by P. Tchaikovsky (role of Olga) and "Cavalleria Rusticana" by P. Mascagni (role of Lola).
Daria Bukhman continues to work on developing her technique at Mrs. Jean McPhail's Vocal Studio. Also she is a Lead Alto at Humber Valley United Church Chancel Choir, where she performs oratorio repertoire. In 2013 Mrs. Bukhman made an appearance in Glenn Gould School Spring Production "Don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart. Since 2009, when Daria Bukhman arrived to Canada, she participated in several recitals around Toronto.
Mrs. Bukhman is looking forward to her debut with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre this summer as a Third Lady in "Magic Flute" by W.A. Mozart.
